Abraham Lincoln Walker was an artist who worked in a wide variety of differing artistic styles, techniques, media, subject matters. His social commentary paintings of the 1960's and early 1970's feature a unique combination of three dimensional collage and painting techniques. The late 1970's through the 1980's are a combination of realistic interpretation of life around East St. Louis, Illinois, and a surrealistic view of life as an African American.
